A Noise Feedback Instrument – Prototype
Inspired by no-input mixing, this two-channel mixer is built to explore feedback as a core sound source. Three different op-amp types are chained and routed in unique paths to produce a wide range of distorted textures and multiple circuit interactions you can alter in real time.
The Input1 and Input2 is floating if nothing connected. Each channel has 3 stages of gain through 3 different opamps, LM324 (Raw and powerful, most gain range), 4558D (Musical, with clipping diode), TL072 (Thinner, sometimes good for more high frequency). These channels meet at the blend control and go to the Master Out. In additional, each channel has a dedicated send out: send1 + send2. The feedback1 usually can create pulses, while feedback2 has more impact in the sonic texture.
